Camping Policies, Terms & Conditions
1. General Overview
Hampton Recreation offers both seasonal and overnight camping options in the heart of Hampton, New Brunswick. Our goal is to provide a relaxed, community-focused environment while maintaining clear expectations that ensure a positive experience for all guests.
By booking or staying on the property, all guests agree to the following policies.
2. Bookings & Payment
Overnight Camping
Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise specified.
Bookings are confirmed once payment has been received.
Reservations can be made online through our booking system.
Campers are responsible for ensuring adequate insurance coverage for their vehicles, trailer, and personal property during their stay.
Seasonal Camping
Seasonal sites require a signed agreement and non-refundable $250 security deposit to secure your site.
The deposit must be paid by September 15th of the prior season.
The full balance of site fees is due by opening weekend.
A 2% per month surcharge applies to late payments.
Seasonal sites are non-transferable without management approval.
Campers are required to carry their own insurance covering their trailer, vehicles, and personal property for the duration of their stay. Proof of insurance may be requested at the time of signing your seasonal agreement.
3. Cancellation Policy
Overnight Reservations
Cancellations made 7 or more days before arrival — full refund, less a $10 administrative fee.
Cancellations made 3–6 days before arrival — 50% refund.
Cancellations made within 48 hours of arrival — non-refundable.
No-shows are non-refundable.
Seasonal Sites
Seasonal deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in your seasonal agreement.
If a seasonal camper chooses to leave early, no refunds will be issued for unused time.
Either party may terminate a seasonal agreement with 60 days written notice.
In the event of a rule change, seasonal campers may terminate without penalty by providing written notice within 14 days of being informed of the change.
4. Check-In & Check-Out
Overnight Guests
Check-in: 2:00pm
Check-out: 11:00am
Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request but cannot be guaranteed.
Seasonal Campers
Access is provided for the full season as outlined in your agreement, from the Victoria Day long weekend through Thanksgiving Weekend.
The park is closed outside of this period with no water, sewer, road clearing, or overnight accommodation available.
Site setup and removal timelines will be communicated in advance.
Winter trailer storage is available for an additional fee — contact us for details.
5. Quiet Hours & Conduct
Quiet hours are in effect from 11:00pm to 8:30am.
Guests are expected to respect fellow campers at all times.
Loud music or noise is not tolerated at any time, including during non-quiet hours.
Excessive noise, disruptive behaviour, or unsafe activity may result in removal from the property without refund.
There is zero tolerance for alcohol or drug-related problems.
Intolerance of any kind — including with regard to race, sexual orientation, or religion — is not acceptable and will not be tolerated.
6. Visitors & Day Use
Registered campers are responsible for the conduct of their guests and visitors at all times.
All guests must leave the property by 11:00pm.
Management reserves the right to limit or refuse visitors at any time.
7. Fires & Safety
Campfires are permitted in designated fire rings or appropriate containment only.
Fires must not be lit directly under trees or near an RV.
All NB FireWatch bans must be followed — check the sign at the entrance upon arrival and always check before lighting.
Fires must never be left unattended.
Firewood is available for purchase on site.
8. Pet Policy
Pets are welcome and must be kept on a leash at all times outside of your trailer.
Pets are not permitted to run loose.
Never leave a pet unattended when you leave the park.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets at all times.
Aggressive or disruptive animals are not permitted.
9. Vehicles & Speed
The speed limit throughout the property is 15km/h.
All RVs must be parked tongue to the road unless otherwise approved by management.
A maximum of 2 vehicles are permitted per site. Not all sites can accommodate 2 vehicles — arrangements can be made with management or vehicles may use the main parking lot.
Parking on an empty site is not permitted and will be charged as site use.
Visitors must use the main parking lot.
Vehicles must remain on designated roadways.
10. Golf Cart Rules
Solo drivers must hold a valid G2 or G licence. Young drivers must produce proof of licence if asked.
Adult campers without a licence may operate a cart at management's discretion.
Drivers with a beginner's licence must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
Cart maximum speed is 15km/h.
No alcohol may be consumed on the cart.
No driving while under the influence.
The number of riders cannot exceed the number of seats.
Speeding, racing, and cart overload are not permitted.
Screaming, hollering, abusive language, and boisterous behaviour will not be tolerated.
Hampton Recreation reserves the right to refuse cart use to any camper.
11. Site Care & Cleanliness
Guests are expected to keep their sites clean and tidy at all times.
All garbage must be bagged, tied, and placed in the bin provided at your site.
Please break down boxes and make use of the recycling option.
Some items are not acceptable for landfill — dispose of these appropriately.
Do not trim or cut trees or shrubs without prior approval from management.
Any modifications to your site require management approval. Unauthorized changes may be removed at the camper's expense.
Any damage to property must be reported to the Front Office immediately.
12. Supplementary Appliances
The use of supplementary appliances (such as refrigerators) on non-metered sites is subject to an annual surcharge.
13. Liability
Guests use the property at their own risk.
Hampton Recreation is not responsible for loss, theft, damage to personal property, or any injury or death sustained during your stay.
Management reserves the right to refuse service or remove guests who do not comply with posted policies.
14. Weather & Unforeseen Events
Camping is an outdoor activity subject to weather conditions.
Refunds will not be issued due to weather unless required by law.
In the event of a closure due to safety concerns, accommodations will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
15. Policy Updates
Policies may be updated from time to time as the property evolves. Guests will be notified of any significant changes where applicable.
